Missionaries of God’s Love have outgrown their existing seminary in
Melbourne and urgently need to build additional facilities to
accommodate their growing number of seminarians.
With sunlight streaming through the stained glass windows at St
Benedict’s Burwood, Archbishop Denis Hart launched the MGL Seminary
Building Appeal during a moving liturgy.

Catechesis Sessions Bring Jesus Close |

SYDNEY, Australia, JULY 15, 2008 (Zenit.org ).-
World Youth Day brings so much festivity that it is easy to get caught
up in the glamour and forget that it is a pilgrimage, said a deacon who
led a catechesis session today.
Catechesis sessions are part of the youth day experience. They
generally consist of teachings from religious, discussion and the
celebration of Mass. The first of the catechesis sessions began today
in various Sydney venues. Deacon Daniel Strickland was part of one of
the more lively sessions, held in Hyde Park.

Church in Burwood for the weekly 5pm Sunday Mass. With an average
attendance of about 180 mainly youth, they come for the sacrifice of
the Eucharist, which is enhanced by the accomplished musicians and
vocalists that play each week.

Canberra’s Missionaries of God’s Love now have 12 priests following the
ordination of Brian Steele and Chris Ryan in St Christopher’s Cathedral.
In a cathedral packed to overflowing with an exuberant congregation,
Archbishop Francis Carroll ordained the two men late 2001.

Radical Faith will produce Vocations |
